Home Depot and Lowe's could be neighbors
Here’s yet ANOTHER reason why we don’t need a Home Depot in the Bayshore… They have just announced a store in South San Francisco…. Do we really need THREE Home Depot stores within 5 minutes of each other? Did we even need ONE to begin with?
In today’s Examiner, it’s not JUST about Home Depot in South City, but the Lowe’s that’s going in right next door… “Lowe’s would replace three of four existing buildings between 600 and 700 Dubuque Ave. and build a 124,051-square-foot, one-story store. Home Depot would replace Levitz at 900 Dubuque Ave. with a smaller, 101,272-square-foot, one-story store.”
Are they serious? They are pushing so hard for the San Francisco store, not for convenience, but for market domination. There is no reason for the Bayshore store. Period.
