Mid-Market plan up for review today

From the Examiner, "A controversial plan to redevelop the mid-Market area will be heard today by the Redevelopment Agency board. The proposal calls for 3,000 new housing units, an arts district and a means of funding public improvements along Market Street between 5th and 10th streets. Opponents who fear low-income residents in the area will be displaced plan to rally on the steps of City Hall at 12:30 p.m. The board meeting is at 4 p.m. in Room 416, City Hall. The plan needs final approval by the Board of Supervisors."

Once again, if you have an opinion on issues like this (on one side or the other), now is the time to make your voice heard.

BeyondChron had a complaint piece on this topic yesterday, lambasting the Redevelopment Agency for their past performances.
