Yet another Daly affordable housing proposal

From the Chron today, "A 2002 city law requires builders to set aside 10 percent of units in new market-rate developments as affordable, or 12 percent if the affordable housing is not in the new development. But under Daly's proposal, builders would have to set aside 15 percent of units on-site as affordable and 20 percent off-site. Projects that require special conditional use approval would have to build even more affordable homes."

The new measure will be referred to the Planning Commission for consideration.
