Vote on Home Depot study delayed a week

We're not out of the woods yet, but the 'Supes voted 6-5 to delay their vote one more week in order to study the EIR a bit further.

From today's Chronicle, "On Tuesday, the supervisors voted 6-5 for the postponement, despite the objection of Supervisor Tom Ammiano, a vocal Home Depot critic. He said he wanted to move ahead because he did not want to see "backdoor lobbying," referring to behind-the-scenes negotiating over the fate of the deal."

From today's Examiner, "A compromise plan broached by Supervisor Bevan Dufty last week for a smaller structure — 107,000 square feet instead of 140,000 — was a “backroom” negotiation, [Supervisor Tom] Ammiano said. He also took exception to an agreement the Atlanta-based chain apparently signed with one neighborhood group in Bernal Heights, saying it also circumvented the public process."

I'm not sure who the supervisors are that are voting for/against this project, but you should call/email your supervisor and let them know how you feel. A week from now a decision is likely to be made that will forever change the landscape of San Francisco.
