Selling your home: 10 questions you might ask when choosing an Agent

Saw this great post on a non-real estate blog called Dumb Little Man. He interviewed four real estate agents in the process of considering the sale of his home. He brings up both some great questions to ask as well as some good items for real estate agents to consider…

Recently, my wife got the bug to move just because her brother was (I quickly killed that bug – we are NOT moving). I did however have a chance to interview 4 Real Estate agents. I quickly learned that they are not all created equal.

I took some notes specifically for Dumb Little Man. Here are the questions I asked, the answers I got, and the answers I wanted to hear. [more...]

  3. KK,

Why don’t you get your own blog?

Matt, it’s your blog, feel free to ban this troll.

  4. Now that’s the best idea I’ve heard all week! :-) I think Kurt just needs an outlet…

Just head over to Blogger.com, Kurt. You’ll be up an ranting in no time!

  5. That’s right, anonymous. You lost the argument, so instead of conceding, you ask Matt to ban me. You’re a real man.

  6. Actually that last anonymous post wasn’t by me (but not a bad idea). I can see that some of those links I used before didn’t work. I’ll see if I can use some crack open my html book to do some rudimentary linking.

  7. Anonymous,
I think you need to do more than just making the links work. You need to clearly specify my point and what you disagree with. To be honest, I’m not optimistic about your refuting anything. But give it a try.

In the meantime, I’ll bask in the glory of knowing I’ve changed the minds of you, Cameron and Matt. You guys now know that Matt’s not selling to the middle class, but instead to the rich. Glad I could clear that up for you guys.

  8. Hi anonymous…you might notice that none of Kurt’s links work either. I am not sure links work within this particular comment interface.

In any case, it is probably not worth your time trying to figure it out. Those of us that actually engage in critical thinking understood what you wrote and got your point.

    Cheers.

  9. Cameron,
Yes, my link doesn’t work, but you can just search for the article on SFGate and you’ll find it. Also, the point is clear from the headline.

Why don’t you just admit that you lost the argument instead of pretending that I don’t get the anonymous’ points. If I were you, I’d be embarrassed.

  10. Kurt,

Nobody will ever admit to losing an argument to an unreasonable and/or stubborn opponent, especially one who can’t even read replies before claiming victory.

You have not changed my mind on anything other than clarifying that you will no longer engage me with your useless rants.

And the only one who outside readers will find to be embarrassed is you, Kurt.

  11. Matt,
So you know you lost the argument, but won’t admit it because I’m stubborn. All I can say is you’re brilliant!

  12. Hi!
I’ve seen your blog, very interesting! I’m writing my own too, on Argentina Real Estate, would you like to see it?
I’ve got several ones actually, they’re all about things to know and tips when people is traveling Buenos Aires, or willing to buy Real Estate which is my main interest.
I think we may share the same target, would you like to do a links exchange with mine? I’ve got the Argentina Real Estate one, and its translation to spanish, and two more with tips for people coming to live to Argentina. I’m going to be bringing them up to date constantly, so what do you think? It might be worthy, just let me know! I’m not going to be selling any property, just giving tips and advice, althought a Real Estate web site is linked, my blog is meant to be for tips.
So, post me and it will come to my email address. Regards! Robert
